Studies on genotypic and phenotypic variability in mango (Mangifera indica L.)

Thirty mango genotypes were studied to find out their variability, heritability, and genetic advance. Significant variations observed in 46 characters. There also considerable differences between the genotypic phenotypic coefficients of variation for almost all characters which indicated influence environment on expression these traits. Among characters, GCV PCV high 40 All showed considerably heritability except leaf width ranged from 21.32 99.85 % advance (as mean) was 44traits. High coupled with 44 traits leafwidth chlorophyll content that less influenced by confirming predominance additive gene action therefore, selection favour would be feasible yield improvement mango.
